Winter’s Embrace

Winter is here; enveloping us in her cold, quiet embrace. She has lulled the earth into a deep slumber, and she sings to us gently: “It’s time to rest, retreat inward, reflect, and conserve your energy”.

Do you hear her lonely lullaby?

Do you feel her frosty breath on your skin?

Do you see her bare & vulnerable, yet beautifully strong in the darkness?

Her chilling touch gently nudges us towards warm shelter, urging us to hunker down, get cozy, and settle into the stillness.

Living in harmony with nature, means embracing the flow of the cyclical passage of time: spring (renewal/rebirth), summer (growth/expansion), fall (completion/transition), and finally, winter (rest/reflection). Winter gifts us with space to rest; a time to ground our energy, connect with ourselves, understand who we are in this moment, and what we need. It’s a time to celebrate our growth, and recognize what we’re ready to let go of to create space to evolve again when the season of renewal arrives.

When we surrender to the quiet stillness that winter provides, we begin see what may not have been clear to us before.

It’s in stillness we gain clarity & insight. During this sacred pause, immerse yourself in all of the self-care you need to feel rejuvenated. Fill your well until it overflows. Journal, dance, move, flow, reflect, dream, sleep, sing, open yourself to creativity, and begin planting the seeds of a new vision for your life that will begin to emerge and grow once winter leaves.

Winter is not just a season, it’s a space to embody. Take all the time you need to nourish, heal, forgive, release, and replenish. Allow yourself to be beautifully vulnerable & strong in the darkness of the season. Be grateful for winter, and her cold embrace that encourages you to nestle deeply within the warmth of your soul.
